Get Clicking!

I've been asked by the multi-talented Bee and Jai to be a judge in this month's Click competition. If you're not familiar with Click, it's a photography contest that focuses on a particular theme each month. This month's theme is... {drumroll please} ...Show us your NUTS! Now, I know that there are a lot of vegan nuts out there...um, I mean, I know that nuts are naturally vegan, so this is a theme that's perfect for vegan photo enthusiasts. All the rules are here, so get out your cameras and go nuts! The deadline is December 30, so you've still got plenty of time.
Warning: Gratuitous Kitten Photos follow
I know at least one of you stops reading whenever cats are involved, so I've given you fair warning. Here's what I've been photographing instead of food lately:

It's the

Here she is in a calmer mood, probably thinking about how much fun it'd be to jump up and grab the camera strap!

Thanks for the info on this cool event. I could not think of a better judge than yourself as you are the food photography queen. I just look at your pictures and drool.
I'm so glad the theme is nuts (yum) and not eggs like a few months ago.
Your kitty is too precious!
Your little kitty is absolutely adorable. I'm such a sucker for the torties (two of our six are torties), and the accompanying tortie attitude (half sweet, half nuts).
thanks for judging, susan. we are honoured to have you.
I happen to be a person who stops TO read any post about kitties and yours is just adorable still!
My 3 kids all came thundering over from the other side of the room as soon as they saw her just to get a look!
Awwww cute pics. I actually miss when my kitty was just a tiny ball of teeth and claws and unlimited meows.
I'm so happy to learn that perhaps the little beast of a kitten I've just taken in is not necessarily crazy, and that yours seems to have the same general "I will attack you until I pass out!" mentality.
I think the name is adorable, as well. When I saw your fruit-based name, I decided my new addition to the family should also be named after a fruit. After "Berry" and "Pear" didn't seem quite right, Quince was settled upon. I think it suits her feisty nature (tabby, tortie and siamese. yikes.).
Congrats!
That is a beautiful kitten.
I dealt with my kitten's maniac play mode by getting her her own kitten. They tackled each other all day and came to me for snugglies when they were all tuckered out.
someone stops reading when you post kitten photos? That's unimaginable! I'm just trying not to squeal too loudly from the cuteness, since it's late and all the creatures in the house are sleeping...
The kitten looks practically identical to mine! I adopted my wee one this past Feb. then lost my baby girl (16 yrs old) just a month ago. But I even took a video of my kitten (now 1 year old) playing w/ a toy that looks just like yours on the right: is that an organic cotton "snake" toy filled w/ organic catnip? I got one from purrfectplay.com. Here's a picture of my little one http://www.flickr.com/photos/makaria/2092799984/.
Don't they look similar??
KR
so cute
That kitten is so so so adorable! Mine are definitely past that stage--I miss the foot biting days!
You mean that's E's little foot, right?
:-D
ahh! sweet, and my little kitty looks and sounds very similar too! she was found in the street by a colleague of mine when she was two months old, and no, 2 months on, she's the boss of the house - my poor dog! ;-) I can't get an unblurred photo of her unless she's attacking one of the houseplants! http://www.flickr.com/photos/soja/2084115484/

so cute!!! my dogs were like that too when they were babies. now they're crazy energetic only about 25% of the time. :-) still hard to get them to look at the camera though!
i admit, i'm a sucker for pics of kitties. they're effortlessly photogenic. love these shots! can i ask what model camera you used to click these?
she is beautiful!
awwwwwww what a sweetheart!! you must post her pix/stories regularly!
