Winners!

First of all, thank you for the outpouring of compassion so many of you have shown over the loss of our Leda. My heart goes out to those of you who have lost pets yourself, and I appreciate your sharing your stories with me.

Now, I have a prize to give away. Random.org says...

Lydia

...the winner of the signed copy of Go Dairy Free is #158, Smug. Congratulations!

You may notice that the title of this post is plural, "Winners." Every time I hold one of these contests, I wish I could give away more prizes. Well, I've decided to do just that! Since Go Dairy Free is a real godsend for anyone with a medical need to avoid dairy products, I went back through the comments and made a note of all the people who mentioned either having a lactose intolerance or allergy or cooking for someone who does. Then, I had E draw out one name...

158

Lydia, please send me your address, and I'll order a copy to be sent to you. I hope you find it a big help in dealing with your dairy allergy!

Thanks for playing, everyone. Next time, expect a recipe!

Hi Susan,

Sorry to hear about Leda. Even though I do not have cats, I can imagine the loss that you must be feeling.

Also thank you for including my blog in your weekly featured blogs list. I truly appreciate it.

Hey Susan,
Sorry to hear about Leda. That's a beautiful picture you took of her on the chair. I wish we'd have cheerier weather one of these days.

Susan, you are awesome.

What a wonderful life Miz Leda undoubtedly had.

Also--she has the most amazing eyes ever.

I was really sorry to hear about Leda. Being an owner/lover/advocate myself, I know the pain you are feeling.

One other thing I would like to note is the condition of the fingernails of what I can only assume is 'E'. Those are bitten quite low. I would look at the stress level.

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear about Leda. I'm just catching up....but that is so sad. I'm especially worried about E. Its hard to understand terminal illness when you're a kid.
