It’s done! My blog has “moved” without really moving. It’s still at the same URL, all the old recipes are here, and thanks to a hardworking site designer who carefully followed my directions to “make it look the same,” it looks so much like it used to that I’ll bet 90% of you won’t notice any change. (If you don’t notice any differences–such as the smaller previews of posts at the bottom of the home page–then you may need to clear your browser’s cache to see the changes.) There was only one unexpected problem, which I will ask your help with in a minute. Besides that, the only other issue is if you subscribed to the blog through the old feed, you may need to resubscribe. The best feed to use is this feedburner one, and if you were already subscribed through Feedburner or by email, you probably don’t need to do anything.
As I mentioned, there was only one big problem in the changeover: Most of the comments were lost. All comments prior to last August are gone…poof…history! Since this blog is over 4 years old, that’s thousands of people’s responses, variations, criticisms, and experiences that have been lost. Most of my older recipes now have no comments at all, nothing to indicate whether people tried them or liked them.
What I’d like to ask you to do is this: If you tried a recipe from the blog and your comment is no longer there, please take a minute to leave a comment on it describing your results, good, bad, or indifferent. You can really help guide people who may be thinking about making a particular recipe. Just use the search box up in the right sidebar to help you find the recipes.
Now, about that photo above, and a little game I’ve devised….
Right now, as I type, I’ve got a new recipe simmering in the kitchen. It’s based on a very old recipe from this blog, and it uses the ingredients in the photo. All except for one of them were in the old recipe, and if you enter the right 4 ingredients into the search box, you should be able to find the old recipe I’m referring to. Find it, post your answer in the comments, and I’ll send the first five people to get it right a FatFree Vegan refrigerator magnet, valued at over 25 cents! (Hey, I just spent all my money on web design, so things are tight!)
I’ll post the full recipe over the weekend. Until then, please look around the blog and let me know if you discover any problems.

Speaking of pictures, I believe that earlier in the week, you had a picture up of two kitties on the sofa. Yea? Nay?

Everything is back to divine vegan order. I knew it would happen. Yours is the first site I rely on for authentic, luscious, and often quick recipes.

Congrats, Susan, to both you and your designer. Migrating a substantial site like this is not a trivial piece of work. Go open a bottle of wine.
Amy
Love the new website and as always I love your recipes 🙂 I was just wondering though, will the new site be alphabetized like the old site?
SusanV
Amy, by alphabetized, do you mean the Recipe Index pages? They’re all still there–just look for the link at the very top of the page.
Laina
Susan, I don’t have a search box???
SusanV
Laina, what do you see in the right column? There should be a google search box at the top.
Kylie
What about Bean Sprouts and Broccoli Slaw Salad with Coconut-Ginger Dressing?
Claire G.
I think it’s bean sprouts w/ broccoli slaw salad! But I see I’m in the minority…
Laina
I have the normal headings at the top. Where is the search box suppose to be? To the right of the picture of the ingredients is white space. Nothing there.
Jordan
I think it’s Korean Tofu and Vegetable Stew and that you’re adding the tamarind =)
SusanV
Laina, what type of browser and computer are you using.
Can anyone else NOT see the search box at the top of the right column?
Thanks for your help in finding these problems!
